Dealer Code of Conduct

Our dealers and teammates agree to follow our code of conduct, in addition to the Player’s code of conduct:

  1. We Are Professionals And Teammates. Regardless of our role, we conduct ourselves professionally at the tables. We can always count on one another to have each other’s back and have the room’s back both when we are dealing and when we are playing.
  2. We are in the fun business. The point of our existence is to share the fun with others. Poker is fun, our beverages and food is also fun. We take our craft seriously. We do our jobs with precision. But most importantly, we never lose sight of the fact that we are here to have fun.
  3. What Happens At Desert Bluffs Stays at Desert Bluffs: We cannot share anything negative about any players inside or outside our club. We don’t answer questions about player skill or frequency of visits; our players come for an escape. Our club is theirs as much as it is ours.
  4. Ambassadors of Poker (In and out of our club): Our teammates, especially dealers, agree to act as ambassadors for the game of poker and Desert Bluffs Poker Club This means you’ll abide by the Player’s Code outside of our club and respect the game that provides our living.
  5. Respect Our Profession: We will keep learning the rules and getting better at our craft through daily training. Our teammates are welcome (and encouraged) to play poker in legal (rake-free) home games. As professionals who care about our livelihood, we agree never to deal in these games. Our skill is the reason that people come to our club. It’s the reason that we make a good living, so let’s honor our commitment to our craft.
  6. No Critique of Our Guest’s Play: Sometimes we all wonder “how they called with that,” we don’t critique the play of other players. It’s bad for our club and the game to offer unsolicited advice. If a player asks, we will provide a path to getting better.
